QA1 Precision Products 5Q885 Twin Tube Steel Body Shock Absorber

The QA1 5Q885 is a large body twin-tube steel shock absorber designed for high-performance racing applications. Formerly known as the 51 and 53 series, the 5Q series features robust construction and easy serviceability for racers who demand consistent performance at the track.

Key Features:

• Large body twin-tube steel construction with durable black zinc coating for consistent sealing
• Two-piece body design simplifies disassembly and reassembly for quick rebuilds
• Laser-engraved black-anodized closure nut makes serial numbers and valving specifications easy to read
• Upgraded seal kit minimizes leaks, especially in high-rebound applications
• Compression tube uses slip-fit design to simplify the rebuild process
• Scalloped base loop increases clearance in tight areas like upper control arms and shock mounts
• High-quality raw aluminum pistons minimize variations for consistent performance
• Gland features relief cuts and hyper screw port for easy filling and bleeding
• Can be re-valved and rebuilt by racers in minutes using basic tools
• Compatible with coil-over configurations using appropriate kits (sold separately)

QA1's 5Q Series shocks are engineered for circle track racing, drag racing, and other motorsports applications where performance and tunability are critical. The rebuildable design allows racers to valve the shock with bleed shims or drill out bleeds to maximize tunability for specific track conditions.
