QA1 5Q74-500R 5Q Series Twin Tube Shock Absorber 7 Inch Stroke Rebound Adjustable

The QA1 5Q74-500R is a rebuildable twin-tube circle track shock designed for racers who demand performance, consistency, and tunability. Formerly known as the 51 and 53 series, this large body steel shock features a 7-inch stroke bearing mount design with rebound adjustable valving (5C compression/500R rebound) that can be fine-tuned at the track.

Key Features:

• Twin-tube design with large steel body construction and black zinc coating for consistent sealing
• Rebound adjustable piston rod allows on-the-fly valving changes at the track
• Two-piece body design makes disassembly and reassembly quick and simple
• Laser-engraved, black-anodized closure nut for easy identification of serial numbers and valving specs
• Upgraded seal kit minimizes leaks, especially in high-rebound applications
• Gland features relief cuts and hyper screw port for easy filling and bleeding during assembly
• Compression tube uses slip fit design to simplify the rebuild process
• Scalloped base loop increases clearance in tight areas like upper control arms
• High-quality raw aluminum pistons minimize variations found in anodized parts
• Can be re-valved and rebuilt in minutes using basic tools and available tuning kits

Ideal for Street Stock, Hobby Stock, B-Mod/Sport Mod, and Modified circle track applications. Compatible with coil-over configurations when used with appropriate kits (sold separately). Racers can customize valving using bleed shims or drilled bleeds for maximum tunability.
