QA1 27947-4M 27 Series Monotube Shock Absorber 9.4in Compressed Stud/T-Bar Hyperscrew 7-4M Valving

The QA1 27947-4M is a 27 Series large steel monotube shock absorber featuring a hyperscrew gas pressure port. Designed as a stock-mount performance shock, it delivers precise, consistent damping for circle track racing applications including street stocks, hobby stocks, mini stocks, and other classes requiring a stock-mount shock.

Key Features:

• Compressed Height: 9.40 inches
• Extended Height: 14.0 inches
• Stroke: 4.6 inches
• Valving: 7-4M (7 compression / 4 rebound, linear)
• Mount Configuration: Stud top / T-bar bottom
• Body: Large steel, zinc-plated for corrosion resistance
• Piston: 46mm hard anodized
• Gas Port: Hyperscrew — sealed with an O-ring screw to maintain nitrogen gas pressure
• 100% dyno tested and serialized
• Made in the USA

Linear valving provides a consistent, predictable damping curve that delivers complete suspension control at low shaft speeds without generating excessive forces at high shaft velocities — giving drivers better feedback and a more stable platform on both dirt and asphalt tracks.

The hyperscrew port is located near the bearing end of the shock body. Gas pressure adjustments on hyperscrew-equipped shocks are performed by QA1 or QA1 Authorized Rebuilders in accordance with applicable sanctioning body rules. For on-the-fly gas pressure adjustment, see QA1's Schrader valve variants.
