Fox Racing Shocks 987-24-005 2.5 Performance Series Smooth Body IFP HTO Rear Shock

The Fox Racing Shocks 987-24-005 is a rear 2.5 Performance Series smooth body shock absorber. It is a bolt-on replacement with position-sensitive technology, application-specific valving and larger pistons. It is built for better ride quality and performance on road and off road.

Key Features:

• 2.5-inch diameter aluminum smooth body with a clear-anodized finish that resists corrosion and helps dissipate heat
• Internal floating piston (IFP) keeps the shock oil separate from the high-pressure nitrogen, which supports consistent damping performance
• Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) gives position-sensitive rebound control. It routes oil through a secondary shim stack to slow the shaft near full extension, which reduces harsh top-outs
• Larger body size increases oil capacity and damping capability
• High-flow, velocity-sensitive damping
• 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft
• Application-specific tune
• Designed for a 0-1.5 inch lift

The HTO design suits vehicles with heavier, aggressive tires or lift heights above factory specifications. It gives a smoother, more controlled ride than a standard shock.
