I received the part number from bayliner to order but it is 2 feet too long , how do I exchange it

I probably just got lucky. I ordered a fuel filter for a sprinter. After I received and installed it I realized there are a couple different types. Thankfully TH Motorsports sent me the exact part I needed! That never happens to me.
