At the heart of this assembly is a 4340 forged steel crankshaft paired with 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods featuring 7/16-inch ARP 8740 cap screws (rated to 900 hp), with an upgrade path to ARP 2000 cap screws for applications requiring up to 1,500 hp. The pistons are 2618 forged aluminum Platinum Series units with Premium Chrome Moly wrist pins and a +43cc dome configuration, delivering high-compression performance suitable for naturally aspirated race applications. The dome pistons are laterally gas ported for improved ring seal under high-boost or high-RPM conditions.
