GFB - Go Fast Bits

About GFB – Go Fast Bits

Go Fast Bits (GFB) is one of the most respected names in forced-induction performance, born from a genuine enthusiast's frustration with the quality of aftermarket turbo parts available in the late 1990s. Founded in Australia in 1997, GFB's origin story traces back to founder and engineer John Adrian, who — fed up with the compromises of off-the-shelf components on his Subaru WRX — set out to design better products from the ground up. The result was a brand built entirely on engineering integrity, real-world testing, and a refusal to sacrifice daily drivability for performance.

From the very start, innovation has been in GFB's DNA. In 1999, the company pioneered the dual-port blow-off valve design — a world-first that allowed turbocharged vehicles to vent to atmosphere without causing the stalling and backfiring problems that plagued MAF-equipped cars. That breakthrough gave birth to the iconic "Hybrid" valve, and the underlying technology was so effective it has since been adopted by virtually every other BOV manufacturer in the market. GFB followed that up in 2001 with a patented adjustable blow-off system that allows venting bias to be continuously varied between full recirculation and full atmosphere. These milestones cemented GFB's position as a genuine innovator, not just another parts supplier.

At the heart of GFB's valve lineup is their proprietary Turbo Management System (TMS) technology. Found across their turbocharger blow off valves and diverter valves, TMS controls the rate at which pressurized air is released from the system when the throttle closes. By maintaining as much boost pressure as possible in the intercooler during a gearshift or momentary throttle lift, GFB valves sharpen throttle response and dramatically reduce turbo lag — delivering faster boost recovery than a factory bypass valve.

GFB's product range extends well beyond valves. Their electronic boost controllers and manual boost controllers give tuners precise command over boost levels, with options suited to everything from a lightly modified daily driver to a full track build. For vehicles running factory electronic diverter valves, GFB's turbocharger diverter valves — such as the DV+ and VTA ranges — offer direct-fit upgrades that improve sealing, throttle response, and reliability compared to the original plastic OEM units.

All GFB products are proudly Australian-made and manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system, ensuring consistent precision across every unit that leaves the factory. Whether you're chasing a cleaner throttle response on a street car or extracting every last pound of boost on a tuned platform, GFB's engineering-first philosophy means their products are designed to perform hard without making the car difficult to live with every day.

Product Details

The GFB T9384 is the latest addition to the DV+ range of diverter valves, designed as a complete drop-in replacement for the OEM diverter valve in late-model Ford vehicles. GFB developed the T9384 with a low-profile integrated solenoid as a complete replacement for both the Continental and Pierburg diverter valves, enabling a hassle-free installation with no clearance issues.

Why Upgrade from Stock?

When GFB engineers tested the OEM diverter valve from a 2.3 EcoBoost Bronco, they discovered excessive boost leaking due to manufacturers mounting diverter valves remotely on plastic intercooler piping rather than directly on the turbocharger, resulting in a plastic valve closing onto a plastic seat with leak rates of 28L/min at 1 Bar of boost. The T9384 addresses this issue by incorporating an integral piston seat machined into its body, ensuring a proper seal even on uneven plastic OEM seats.

Key Features:

 • Integrated solenoid design for complete OEM replacement
 • Machined integral piston seat prevents boost leaks
 • Viton face seal on precision-machined piston
 • Retains factory ECU control and recirculation
 • Pilot actuation operation method for improved response
 • Low-profile design eliminates clearance issues
 • Australian-designed and manufactured

The DV+ offers 10% faster opening and 50% faster closing than the factory diverter valve, improving throttle response and reducing turbo lag while maintaining a completely silent operation with no "whoosh" sound. Installation hardware is included for both plastic and metal housings.
