Fox Racing Shocks 981-35-400-L Factory Race External Bypass Piggyback Shock - 3.5x12 Left

The Fox Racing Shocks 981-35-400-L is a Factory Race Series 3.5" x 12" External Bypass Piggyback Shock designed for left-side installation on high-performance off-road racing vehicles. Built to withstand the extreme demands of desert racing, rock crawling, and competitive off-road events, this shock delivers class-leading damping control and heat dissipation at race speeds.

The 5-tube external bypass design allows precise tuning of compression damping across the full range of suspension travel. Each bypass tube is independently adjustable, enabling racers and tuners to dial in low-speed, mid-stroke, and end-stroke damping characteristics for a specific course or terrain. The 3/4" hardened shock shaft provides exceptional resistance to bending forces under the most demanding race conditions.

The integrated piggyback reservoir significantly increases fluid capacity over a standard shock body, reducing heat buildup and fluid fade during extended, high-intensity use. This translates directly to more consistent damping performance over long race stages.

Key Features:

• 3.5" body diameter for maximum oil volume and superior heat management
• 12" stroke for long-travel suspension applications
• 5-tube external bypass with independent adjustability for precise damping tuning
