General TA100 Smart-Tach Plus Wireless Ignition Analyzer and Tachometer

The General TA100 Smart-Tach Plus (Smartach+) is a wireless ignition analyzer and digital tachometer. It shows engine RPM and spark plug peak voltage, so you can quickly diagnose no-starts, misfires, and fouled or damaged spark plugs and plug wires.

Key Features:

• Needs no special adapters, cables, or scope
• Large digital display shows spark plug voltage and RPM, with Min/Max readings in real time
• Tachometer range: 200 to 19,999 RPM
• Ignition peak voltage range: 0 to 49.9 kV
• Works with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 cylinder engines
• Supports 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, plus DIS
• Flexible antenna with a swivel capacitive sensor pickup
• Works with distributor, magneto and D.I.S. spark ignition systems
• Powered by one 9-volt alkaline battery (NEDA 1604 / IEC 6F22)

Applications: It suits chainsaws, lawnmowers, snowmobiles, small gasoline and natural gas generators, older motorcycles, older automobiles and trucks, racing cars, and any engine with a spark plug ignition system.

To use it, turn the unit on, position the sensor near the spark plug wire, and read the RPM and peak voltage.
