This Type MZ model utilizes advanced cone plate technology that delivers higher initial torque compared to Type RS differentials, making it ideal for high-powered vehicles that demand maximum traction and control.

Type MZ Technology:

The Type MZ design features cone spring actuation that creates initial torque opposing the activation pressure direction, resulting in progressive and linear engagement characteristics. This configuration provides smooth, linear actuation with a shallower rate from initial lock to full lock, offering drivers precise control over power distribution. Cusco's proprietary Oil Through System enables better oil flow inside the differential for improved efficiency and durability, made possible through high-quality chrome molybdenum steel construction.

1-Way Configuration:

This 1-way LSD is specially suited for front-wheel drive cars and the front axles of all-wheel drive vehicles. It activates under acceleration while acting as a true limited slip differential when the throttle is off, providing improved lap times without the understeer characteristics of 2-way differentials during deceleration. The default cam angle setting is 45°/0°, though it can be reconfigured to 1.5-way (55°/20°) during service.
