Prothane 22-1201 Red Upper Strut Bushing Kit for VW Rabbit / Golf I

The Prothane 22-1201 is a front upper strut bushing kit engineered specifically for 1975–1984 VW Rabbit, Golf I, II, and III, and Jetta I, II, and III (note: 1975–1976 applications require use of the original upper bearing cap). Molded in Prothane's signature red polyurethane, this bushing kit delivers a firmer, more responsive connection between the strut and chassis compared to factory rubber components.

Key Features:

• Polyurethane construction — significantly firmer and more durable than OEM rubber, resisting compression, cracking, and deterioration over time
• Precision fit — designed specifically for 1984 and earlier VW Rabbit and Golf I platforms for a direct, accurate fitment
• Improved handling response — reduces strut slop and improves steering feedback under acceleration and braking
• Resistant to road contaminants — polyurethane holds up against oil, ozone, and environmental exposure that degrade rubber bushings
• Made in the USA — manufactured domestically to Prothane's quality standards
• Lifetime warranty — backed by Prothane's unconditional lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship
• Color: Red — available in red only

Upper strut bushings play a critical role in maintaining correct suspension geometry during hard acceleration and braking. When OEM rubber bushings wear out or deteriorate, handling precision suffers. The Prothane 22-1201 restores and improves upon that performance with a long-lasting polyurethane alternative that outlasts the original components.
