Wiseco S451 Unchromed Piston Wrist Pin 0.927in. OD x 2.500in. 5115 Steel

The Wiseco S451 is an unchromed piston wrist pin constructed from 5115 chromium alloy steel, case hardened to 58–64 Rockwell C for dependable performance in standard aftermarket engine applications. With an outer diameter of 0.927 in. and a length of 2.500 in., this wrist pin is designed for use with the Wiseco CS24 spiral lock retainer. The wrist pin serves a critical function in every engine — transferring thousands of pounds of force between the connecting rod and piston with every stroke.

Wiseco manufactures piston wrist pins across three distinct material grades, each engineered to meet the demands of specific performance applications:

5115 Material (S451 — Standard Grade)

• Standard chromium alloy steel construction
• Case hardened to 58–64 Rockwell C
• Ground to a surface finish of 0.15 Ra or better
• Designed to withstand the normal wear and tear of an aftermarket engine build

52100 Material — High Load Grade

• High carbon, chromium-bearing steel
• Aircraft-quality alloy construction
• Case hardened to 54–56 Rockwell C and through hardened
• Ground to a fine finish for superior surface quality
• Engineered for high load capacity and outstanding wear and abrasion resistance

9310 Material — Extreme Duty Grade

• High-quality, low-carbon case hardened steel
• Case hardened to 59–63 Rockwell C
• Ground to a superfinish of 0.025 Ra or better
• Designed for applications requiring high surface strength combined with high core toughness
• Ideal for turbo and nitrous applications where high contact stress meets high shock and impact loading
