Fox Racing Shocks 981-02-397-1 3.5 Series 18in Bypass Shock 1in Tube 3 Comp 2 Reb Custom Valving

The Fox Racing Shocks 981-02-397-1 is a high-performance 3.5 Series 18-inch Bypass Shock Absorber featuring a 1-inch bypass tube with a 3-compression / 2-rebound zone configuration and custom valving. Engineered for demanding off-road applications, this shock delivers precise, independently tunable damping across its travel range for serious desert racing, rock crawling, and high-speed off-road use.

Key Features:

• 3.5 Series large-bore shock body for superior heat dissipation and oil volume
• 18-inch stroke provides extended wheel travel for aggressive terrain
• 1-inch bypass tubes — 3 compression zones and 2 rebound zones — allow independent circuit tuning at specific points in the stroke
• Custom valving tailored for specific vehicle weight, travel, and terrain demands
• Bypass tube design reduces damping force at the beginning and end of stroke for a more compliant ride, with increased resistance mid-stroke for bottoming control
• Constructed with high-strength materials and Fox's proven sealing technology for long service life
• Compatible with remote reservoir configurations for expanded oil capacity and cooling

Fox Racing Shocks' bypass technology is the preferred choice of professional off-road racers and serious enthusiasts who demand precise, repeatable damping control. The custom valving option ensures this shock is built to your exact application requirements, delivering optimal performance straight out of the box.
