Rock Krawler RRD05748RR 2.625 Inch Rear Remote Reservoir RRD Shock

The Rock Krawler RRD05748RR is a 2.625-inch rear remote reservoir shock engineered for serious off-road and heavy-duty truck performance. Built around a fluted aluminum body, this shock delivers superior heat dissipation and a surface area that rivals most 3-inch bodied shocks — all while remaining the lightest remote reservoir shock in its class.

The fluted design doesn't just save weight — it provides the structural rigidity to match or exceed traditional steel 2.5-inch shock bodies. A military-grade hard anodized coating protects the body from corrosion, making it ideal for harsh environments and trail use.

Key Features:

• 2.625-inch fluted aluminum body — lightweight yet stronger than steel 2.5-inch counterparts, with greater surface area than most 3-inch bodied shocks
• Military-grade hard anodized coating for maximum corrosion resistance
• 1-inch Nitrotec Steel shaft with high-quality DU bearing — bare (non-chrome) finish eliminates risk of pitting or flaking that can destroy seals
• Billet aluminum valve circuit with digressive valving for precise, controlled damping response
• Redundant sealing technology to keep shock oil securely contained
• Specially formulated shock oil with high viscosity index and shear stability for fade-free damping and smooth rebound
• Custom moly piston wear band to significantly reduce internal body wear
• Remote reservoir design for increased oil capacity and faster heat dissipation — cools up to twice as fast as steel-bodied alternatives

The RRD05748RR rear shock is backed by Rock Krawler's 6-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, reflecting the brand's commitment to quality in every component they manufacture in-house.
