The EBC 3GD Series Sport Rotors represent the third generation of EBC's legendary GD performance rotor line, combining two complementary thermal management technologies into a single street-ready upgrade. Engineered for drivers who demand more than standard OE rotors can provide, the 3GD Series delivers cooler, more consistent, fade-resistant braking across a wide range of demanding driving conditions — from spirited daily commuting to trailer towing, 4x4 use, drifting, and short track runs.

Dual-Technology Thermal Management

The 3GD Series pairs wide-aperture scraper slots with EBC's patented blind-drilled dimple indents for a uniquely effective thermal management solution. The wide-aperture slots actively draw cool air beneath the brake pad and rotor interface, helping dissipate the extreme temperatures generated during heavy braking — a primary cause of brake fade and pad glazing. The full-sweep slots are machined to the very edge of the rotor, expelling brake dust, dirt, water, and friction gases from the braking zone while maintaining a flat, even pad contact surface to prevent rotor ribbing over time.

EBC pioneered the blind-drilled dimple rotor design — an innovation that provides effective pad degassing without the structural compromise of full through-drilling, which is widely known to promote rotor cracking under high-stress thermal conditions. The dimple pattern works in concert with the slots to keep rotors running cooler and longer under real-world performance demands.
