Product Details

The QA1 AFR5-6 is an AF Series Endura aluminum female rod end engineered for high-performance motorsports applications where minimizing weight without sacrificing strength is critical. Built around QA1's patented loaded-slot Endura design — first introduced in the U.S. in 1995 — the body is precision-machined with a full circumferential groove, into which the ball is seated and a Nylon/PTFE material is injection-molded directly. This self-sealing, self-lubricating race keeps dirt and debris out while eliminating the need for external lubrication, and unlike traditional pressed-in PTFE liners, the injection-molded race resists pounding out under repeated shock loads for extended service life.

The aircraft aluminum body is over 10% lighter than conventional three-piece aluminum rod ends, making the AFR5-6 the most wear-resistant aluminum female rod end design available. The body features a standard red anodized finish. Increased cross-sectional thickness throughout the body provides superior tensile strength, while metal-to-metal contact support handles heavy shock loads without deflection.
