Firestone Radial Champion Spade Grip R-2 Agricultural Tire

The Firestone Radial Champion Spade Grip R-2 is an extra-deep tread agricultural radial tire engineered specifically for rear tractor drive axle applications in the most demanding wet and muddy soil conditions. Built on Firestone's proven radial platform, this tire line delivers dependable traction and long-term durability across the most challenging working environments — including rice paddies, sugar cane fields, irrigated farmland, and any soft or waterlogged terrain where standard R-1 tires fall short.

Key Features:

• R-2 Extra-Deep Tread Rating — Twice the tread depth of standard R-1 agricultural tires, providing superior bite and pull-through capability in soft, wet, and muddy field conditions
• 45° Angled Spade-Style Tread Lugs — Aggressively angled tread bars engineered for maximum ground penetration and forward traction in deep, saturated mud
• Open, Self-Cleaning Tread Design — Curved lug geometry efficiently sheds mud and debris between bars, maintaining consistent traction without clogging
• Bolstered Lug Noses and Buttressed Tread Bars — Reinforced lug design resists wear and chipping under heavy load, extending overall tread life in high-stress field conditions
• Dual-Compound Rubber Construction — Super-tough tread rubber for long-lasting wear paired with flexible sidewall rubber that resists weather cracking, ozone degradation, and stubble puncture — especially important on seasonal-use equipment
• Radial Casing Design — Produces a larger, more uniform footprint than bias-ply alternatives, reducing soil compaction, improving operator ride quality, and supporting better fuel efficiency across long field days
• Firestone Agricultural Radial Tire Warranty — Backed by Firestone's agricultural radial tire warranty program for long-term confidence and value

As a product line from Firestone Ag — a division of Bridgestone Americas and one of the most established names in farm tire manufacturing — the Radial Champion Spade Grip R-2 series is available across a wide range of sizes to fit rear drive axles on tractors of all classes. It is the ideal choice for growers and operators who regularly work in the most challenging wet-field environments and need a tire that self-cleans, protects the casing, and sustains productivity all season long.
