Sumitomo Encounter HT All-Season Highway Tire for Light Trucks & SUVs

The Sumitomo Encounter HT is a highway all-season tire engineered for drivers of light trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and vans who demand dependable year-round performance without sacrificing ride comfort. Balancing everyday commuting with long-haul capability, the Encounter HT delivers confident traction across dry, wet, and light winter conditions — all at a price point that competes with premium alternatives.

Advanced Tread Design:

• Non-directional five-rib tread pattern promotes ride stability, enables flexible rotation options, and resists irregular wear
• Solid continuous center rib supports precise handling and consistent highway tracking
• Wide circumferential tread grooves rapidly evacuate water from the contact patch for strong hydroplaning resistance
• Serrated micro-siping multiplies biting edges to improve grip on wet and lightly wintry road surfaces
• Variable-width shoulder block design reduces road noise for a quieter, more comfortable ride
• Computer-optimized tread pitch sequencing suppresses resonance frequencies to further minimize cabin noise

Durable Internal Construction:

• Twin steel belts wrapped with polyamide cap plies add carcass strength and long-term durability
• Full-width jointless nylon overlay plies secure the belt package and optimize high-speed stability
• Solid bead apex increases sidewall stiffness for improved steering responsiveness under load
• High-tension casing ply provides enhanced tread stability throughout the tire's service life
• Advanced all-season rubber compound maintains flexibility in colder temperatures for year-round grip

All-Season Performance:

M+S rated and designed to perform in dry, wet, and light snow conditions, the Encounter HT provides the confident grip and predictable handling that truck and SUV drivers expect. Its tread compound delivers strong wet-weather traction while minimizing stopping distances on dry pavement. In light snow, the dense sipe network provides dependable grip for added cold-weather confidence.

Warranty & Owner Benefits:

• 60,000-mile limited treadwear warranty (6-year term)
• 6-year materials and workmanship guarantee with free replacement coverage
• 2-year 24/7 roadside assistance included
