Hankook SMART WORK DM09 Commercial Drive Axle Tire

The Hankook SMART WORK DM09 is a winter-certified, drive axle radial tire purpose-built for medium-duty commercial trucks operating in mixed on-road and off-road environments. Engineered to meet the rigorous demands of commercial fleets, the SMART WORK DM09 delivers the traction, durability, and load-carrying capability needed to keep vehicles productive — whether on the highway or at the job site.

Advanced Tread Technology:

• Directional Tread Pattern: Optimized for exceptional handling and traction, providing confident grip in wet and muddy conditions
• Open Shoulder Design: Promotes aggressive soil and water evacuation for enhanced off-road traction and wet-weather performance
• Tapered Block Design: Delivers flexible response to lateral forces, improving stability and control during cornering and maneuvering
• Interblock Tie-Bar at Center: Ensures consistent straight-line driving performance while dispersing block impact forces for improved durability
• Staggered Lateral Grooves: Irregularly aligned lateral grooves help prevent impact burst for enhanced carcass protection
• Improved Groove Shape Design: Effectively discharges stone chips to protect the tire and extend service life

Commercial-Grade Construction:

• Innovative Mixing System (IMS) Tread Compound: Hankook's proprietary IMS technology minimizes polymer chain breakdown and improves carbon black dispersion, resulting in stronger rubber bonding, extended tread life, and reduced heat generation for improved fuel efficiency
• Exclusive Mixed-Service Compound: Specially formulated for on/off-road use, offering superior cut and chip resistance for extended service life
• Rigid Carcass Cord Construction: Reinforced internal structure maintains ideal tire shape under heavy load and sustained operating pressure for reliable heavy-duty performance
• Ultra High Strength Bead Wire: Improves bead area uniformity and durability for enhanced long-term tire integrity and longevity

The SMART WORK DM09's Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) winter certification makes it a dependable choice for commercial operations that cannot afford seasonal downtime. Its robust mixed-service compound and versatile construction deliver consistent performance across a wide range of operating conditions — providing the uptime, reliability, and low cost-per-mile that fleet managers demand. Available in multiple sizes to suit a variety of medium-duty commercial truck applications.
