Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX All-Terrain Light Truck Tire

The Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX is a commercial-grade all-terrain light truck tire engineered for pickup truck, SUV, and van drivers who demand serious off-road capability without sacrificing on-road refinement. Built to handle the full spectrum of real-world conditions — from highway commutes and job-site gravel roads to rocky trails and deep mud — the Discoverer S/T MAXX delivers a proven combination of aggressive traction, highway stability, and long-term durability.

Armor Tek3® Construction:

• Triple-Ply Sidewall Technology: Cooper's proprietary Armor Tek3® construction adds a specially configured third ply to reinforce sidewall and tread strength, delivering exceptional resistance to punctures, cuts, and impacts in severe off-road use.
• Air-Down Capable: The robust 3-ply carcass supports airing down for improved off-road traction and reinflating without compromising long-term sidewall integrity.
• Heavy-Duty Reinforced Casing: Substantial internal structure handles the demanding load requirements typical of commercial and extreme-use light truck applications.

Tread Design and Performance:

• Hybrid 4-5 Rib Tread Pattern: Alternating center tread blocks randomize road-surface contact for reduced highway noise while promoting even, long-lasting wear.
• Cut and Chip Resistant Compound: A natural and silica-blended rubber compound provides strong wet-weather grip while resisting tearing, chipping, and abrasion from sharp rocks and rugged terrain.
• Stone Ejector Ribs: Integrated lateral ribs actively expel rocks and debris from between tread blocks, protecting the casing and extending overall tire life.
• Non-Parallel Groove Walls: Advanced dual-draft groove geometry minimizes stone retention and guards against cutting damage from sharp off-road obstacles.
• Aggressive Sidewall Lugs: Bold sidewall tread elements enhance traction in mud and loose soil while giving the tire its rugged, purpose-built appearance.

All-Season and Winter Capability:

• Studdable Tread: Factory-ready to accept metal tire studs for maximum traction on ice and hard-packed snow in severe winter conditions.
• M+S Rated: Meets Mud and Snow performance standards for dependable, year-round drivability in variable weather.
• Deep Original Tread Depth: Generous tread depth across the product line supports strong off-road traction and extended service life throughout the tire's usable lifespan.
