Firestone FS818 All-Position Wide Base Commercial Truck Tire

The Firestone FS818 is a heavy-duty, all-position wide base radial tire engineered for commercial trucks and buses operating in demanding on-highway, off-highway, and mixed severe service environments. Purpose-built for fleet operators who require maximum uptime and lower cost-per-mile performance, the FS818 delivers durable, versatile performance across steer, drive, and trailer positions — backed by Firestone's long-standing legacy of commercial tire innovation.

Advanced Tread Technology:

• Self-Cleaning Block Tread Design: A deep, aggressive block tread pattern delivers reliable traction across paved highways and challenging off-road terrain, continuously expelling debris for consistent grip and extended original mileage.
• Stone Rejector Platforms: Integrated stone rejector platforms in every tread groove actively prevent stone drilling and protect the belt package from damage, directly contributing to longer casing life.
• Cut and Tear Resistant Compounds: Specialized tread compounds are formulated to resist cuts, chips, chunking, tearing, and irregular wear — critical for construction, refuse, logging, and other severe-duty fleet applications.
• Wide, Flat Footprint: The wide base design evenly distributes load pressure across the contact patch, reducing irregular wear and supporting higher payload capacity.

Durable Construction:

• Four Steel Belt Package: A robust four-belt steel construction delivers superior puncture resistance, impact protection, and casing durability engineered to support multiple retread cycles.
• Sidewall Protector Ribs: Raised sidewall ribs guard against curb scuffing, cuts, snags, and abrasion damage encountered in demanding service conditions.
• Wide Base Single Configuration: The wide base design supports higher payload capacity and improved load distribution, offering a proven alternative to traditional dual tire assemblies with outstanding flotation.

All-Position Versatility:

• Engineered for use in steer, drive, and trailer positions across a wide range of commercial vehicle configurations.
• Suited for mixed on/off-highway fleets including construction, refuse, logging, and regional haul operations.
• Deep original tread depth supports extended mileage and retreadability for improved fleet cost management.

The Firestone FS818 is a trusted choice for commercial fleet operators who demand a tough, versatile wide base tire that performs across all axle positions and stands up to the most punishing work environments. Available in multiple sizes to suit a variety of heavy-duty commercial vehicle applications.
