Firestone FD690 PLUS Commercial Truck Drive Tire

The Firestone FD690 Plus is a premium commercial truck drive tire engineered for fleet operators who demand consistent traction, long-lasting tread life, and retread-ready durability. Recommended for both tandem and single drive axle applications, the FD690 Plus is purpose-built to perform reliably across long-haul, regional-haul, and pickup-and-delivery service — making it one of the most versatile all-season drive tires in Firestone's commercial lineup.

Key Features:

• Solid Shoulder & Aggressive Center Lugs: Tread geometry engineered to combat uneven wear while delivering dependable traction in both wet and dry operating conditions throughout the full tread life
• Cap/Base Compounding Technology: A slow-wearing cap compound paired with a cool-running base compound shields the casing from heat damage — protecting casing integrity and enhancing retreadability across multiple retreading cycles
• Optimized Three-Belt Construction: An advanced belt package delivers proven casing strength and retreadability while reducing overall tire weight and rolling resistance for improved fuel efficiency
• Wide Center Grooves: Open groove design efficiently channels water away from the contact patch to reduce hydroplaning risk and maintain confident wet-weather traction
• Deep Tread Depth: Extra-deep tread design maximizes wear life and extends service intervals, reducing total fleet operating costs
• Enhanced Retreadability: The purpose-built casing is designed to support multiple Bandag retread cycles, maximizing total tire value over its service life
• Firestone Commercial Truck Tire Limited Warranty: Backed by Firestone's commercial warranty program for added fleet confidence

Backed by over a century of Firestone tire engineering, the FD690 Plus delivers dependable drive-axle performance, reduced cost per mile, and retread-ready durability that commercial fleets rely on. Available in a broad range of sizes to suit diverse fleet and vehicle configurations.
