Sumitomo ST719 SE SmartWay Verified Commercial Truck Steer Tire

The Sumitomo ST719 SE is an EPA SmartWay Verified medium-duty commercial truck radial tire purpose-engineered for the steer axle position in regional and urban fleet applications. Part of Sumitomo's Premium Series, the ST719 SE is built to deliver high mileage, reduced fuel consumption, and dependable performance across demanding commercial duty cycles.

Built on Sumitomo's proven S-Tech casing architecture, the ST719 SE combines low rolling resistance with durable, retread-ready construction to minimize total cost of ownership across the full service life of the tire. Improved high-scrub compounding properties enhance resistance to tread scrubbing in stop-and-go service, while a significantly wider tread face promotes consistent retreadability and contributes to increased vehicle stability.

Key Features:

• EPA SmartWay Verified — reduced rolling resistance lowers fuel consumption and vehicle emissions, supporting environmentally responsible fleet operation
• S-Tech casing construction — delivers excellent traction, even wear, better fuel efficiency, and ride comfort across regional and urban applications
• Deep tread depth — engineered for maximum mileage in the steer position across demanding regional duty cycles
• High-scrub compound technology — improved compounding resists tread scrubbing and extends tire life in stop-and-go service
• Wider tread face — promotes consistent retreadability and contributes to increased vehicle stability
• Wide, solid shoulders — evenly distribute contact pressure for consistent, long-wearing performance across the full tread width
• Stone ejectors — protect casing integrity by preventing stone drilling and penetration damage in the base of the tread grooves
• Wavy tread groove design — resists groove strain while enhancing shoulder rigidity for stable, responsive handling
• Four circumferential grooves — efficiently channel water away from the contact patch to reduce hydroplaning risk in wet conditions
• Center rib — provides straight-line stability at highway speeds and enhances braking performance
• Four steel belt package — resists punctures, increases vehicle stability, and supports multiple retread cycles

The Sumitomo ST719 SE is well-suited for commercial trucks, buses, and pick-up and delivery vehicles operating in regional and urban environments. Available across a range of sizes to accommodate diverse fleet requirements, the ST719 SE delivers a fuel-efficient, retread-ready steer tire solution backed by Sumitomo's global engineering expertise and commitment to quality innovation.
