General Grabber Arctic Studdable Winter Tire for Light Trucks & SUVs

The General Grabber Arctic is a studdable winter tire line engineered for light trucks, SUVs, heavy-duty pickup trucks, full-size vans, and commercial vehicles that demand reliable, capable performance in severe cold-weather conditions. Carrying the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification, every tire in the Grabber Arctic lineup meets the industry's most rigorous standards for severe snow service — giving drivers confidence when winter roads get serious.

DuraGen™ Technology

At the core of the Grabber Arctic line is General's proprietary DuraGen™ Technology — a cut- and chip-resistant winter compound built on ultra-high-strength steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon. This construction delivers a wide, flat footprint for even tread wear, exceptional penetration resistance, and confident stability under load, making these tires a durable, long-lasting choice for heavier light trucks and demanding work applications.

Advanced Tread Design

• Cold-Weather Compound: A specialized rubber formulation retains flexibility at near- and below-freezing temperatures to maintain consistent grip and braking performance throughout the winter season
• Symmetric Tread Pattern: Two rows of interlocking center blocks flanked by independent intermediate blocks and squared-off shoulders promote straight-line tracking, responsive steering, and effective water and slush evacuation
• Interlocking Winter Sipes: Angled, high-density interlocking sipes create additional biting edges on snow and ice while locking together during cornering and braking for stable, confident handling
• Tread Block Buttresses & Reinforcement Bars: Reinforcing buttresses on intermediate and shoulder blocks, combined with circumferential stepped reinforcement bars, enhance handling dynamics and improve braking performance in all conditions
• Bottom-of-Groove Snow Traction Ridges: Raised ridges within the tread grooves work in concert with the tread block structure to deliver three-dimensional traction in deep snow during acceleration, cornering, and braking

Studdable for Maximum Ice Grip

Every Grabber Arctic tire comes pre-molded with stud pin pockets, allowing for the optional addition of metal winter studs where permitted by local law. Installation in complete sets of four is strongly recommended to ensure proper vehicle balance and control — especially critical when studs are in use on hard-packed snow and icy roads.

Warranty Coverage

• Backed by General's 72-month (6-year) limited treadwear warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original usable tread
• 45-day customer satisfaction trial included

Whether navigating icy city streets or tackling snow-covered back roads, the General Grabber Arctic line delivers the traction, durability, and all-around winter confidence that light truck and SUV drivers depend on.
