General G-MAX AS-05 Ultra-High Performance All-Season Tire

The General G-MAX AS-05 is an ultra-high performance all-season tire built for drivers who demand spirited, responsive handling without giving up year-round capability. The direct successor to the acclaimed G-MAX AS-03, the AS-05 combines an aggressive asymmetric tread pattern with a silica-rich all-season compound to deliver a confident blend of dry grip, wet traction, and light-snow performance — all backed by a 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty.

Proprietary Technologies:

• SmartGrip Technology: Integrates a strong center rib, stable shoulder blocks, a high-silica compound, wide circumferential grooves, and strategically placed sipes to deliver crisp steering response and confident traction across dry, wet, and wintry surfaces
• StabiliTread Technology: Optimizes the contact patch for a wider, flatter footprint that distributes tread stress more evenly, promoting consistent wear and extended tread life
• Visual Alignment Indicators (VAI): Tread wear markers alert drivers when a wheel alignment check is needed, helping prevent premature or uneven wear before it becomes a problem
• Replacement Tire Monitor (RTM): Molded center-tread lettering provides a clear visual signal when the tire has reached the end of its safe service life
• Rim Protection Ring: A built-in sidewall barrier guards wheels against curb damage while reinforcing overall sidewall integrity
• Noise-Optimized Groove Design: Computer-tuned, continuously varying groove angles minimize road noise for a quieter, more refined ride

Performance Highlights:

• Asymmetric tread pattern delivers precise, responsive steering and confident cornering stability
• Four wide circumferential grooves engineered for effective water evacuation and superior hydroplaning resistance
• Large, stable outboard and inboard shoulder blocks for high-speed grip and lateral control
• High-silica tread compound maintains flexibility in colder temperatures for reliable light-snow traction
• Two steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon for enhanced high-speed durability and uniform ride quality
• UTQG Rating: 500 AA — reflecting excellent treadwear, traction, and temperature resistance

Developed under Continental's General Tire brand and backed by a 45-day customer satisfaction trial, the G-MAX AS-05 is purpose-built for performance sedans, sports cars, sporty coupes, and small crossovers seeking an exceptional balance of all-season capability and high-performance handling.
