Cusco LSD 177 F2 Type RS Limited-Slip Differential 2-Way Rear

The Cusco LSD 177 F2 Type RS Limited-Slip Differential is engineered for performance-focused drivers seeking maximum traction and control. This rear differential features a 2-way design that provides both 1-way and 2-way locking capabilities, making it ideal for high-performance street use on rear-wheel drive vehicles.

Key Features:

• Type RS design with RS spring system for gentle initial torque engagement and reduced power loss
• 2-way locking mechanism activates under both acceleration and deceleration for aggressive driving and drifting
• Tunable performance characteristics allow customization of locking strength and responsiveness
• Oil Through System technology enables superior oil flow between plates for enhanced efficiency and durability
• Chromoly steel casing with forged internals for exceptional strength and heat resistance
• Lower friction compared to cone-plate type LSDs results in better throttle response
• Proven in All Japan Gymkhana Championship competition use

Unlike open differentials that allow wheel slip, this limited-slip differential ensures power is effectively distributed to both wheels, improving traction on slippery surfaces, enhancing cornering stability, and reducing understeer and oversteer. The Type RS model is specifically optimized for street performance with smoother engagement than the track-focused Type MZ, while still delivering race-proven reliability backed by Cusco's nearly 50 years of motorsports engineering experience.
