Fox Racing Shocks 980-02-224-1 2.5 Factory Series External Bypass Shock 18 Inch Travel

The Fox Racing Shocks 980-02-224-1 is a high-performance 2.5 Factory Series external bypass shock designed for extreme off-road racing and demanding trail applications. This shock features an 18-inch travel capacity with a 4-tube external bypass configuration, providing 2 compression zones and 2 rebound zones for precise, position-sensitive damping control throughout the entire stroke.

Key Features:

• 2.5-inch body diameter with 7/8-inch hardened steel piston rod
• 4-tube external bypass design (2 compression, 2 rebound) for independent adjustment of each stroke stage
• Piggyback reservoir configuration for superior heat dissipation and consistent performance
• Custom valving tailored for specific vehicle and terrain requirements
• Black finish with zinc-plated seamless alloy body construction
• Rebuildable and serviceable design for extended lifespan
• Viton seals for exceptional durability in high-temperature racing conditions
• Color-coded adjustment knobs for easy compression and rebound tuning

Fox bypass shocks utilize position-sensitive external bypass technology that allows each stage of compression and rebound to be independently adjusted without affecting other zones. This provides unmatched control and tunability for rock crawling, desert racing, prerunners, and ultra-performance off-road builds. The piggyback reservoir design maximizes oil capacity for improved heat management during extended high-speed runs.
