The Fox Racing Shocks 983-02-076 is a 2.0 Factory Series Coilover shock with a Rotating Remote Reservoir, engineered for serious off-road performance. Built with race-proven components and premium materials, this coilover delivers consistent, high-performance damping across the most demanding terrain—from high-speed desert runs to technical rock crawling.

The heavy-duty 7/8 in. diameter shaft provides superior resistance to side loads from coil springs compared to a standard 5/8 in. shaft. The shaft is constructed from 17-4 H900 stainless steel for exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Paired with Viton main seals and a urethane wiper, this shock is built to endure the toughest off-road conditions.

The rotating remote reservoir (2.0 x 11.0 in., connected via -8 x 17.75 in. hose with ORB O-ring fittings) significantly increases oil volume, improving heat dissipation so you can push harder for longer without fade. The reservoir also reduces gas pressure buildup as the shock compresses, lowering internal friction for a smoother, more consistent ride and extended component life. A COM-10T spherical bearing is used at the mount for improved durability and easier installation.

The shock body is a zinc-plated seamless alloy steel tube with black anodized CNC-machined billet aluminum components. The high-flow powder metal piston and Fox's proprietary shock oil—rated to withstand up to 400°F—ensure maximum damping performance under extreme heat and load conditions. This unit is fully rebuildable and serviceable, and custom valving options are available.
