Fox Racing Shocks 980-02-223 2.5 Factory Series 16in Piggyback Bypass Shock 2-Tube Compression 2-Tube Rebound

The Fox Racing Shocks 980-02-223 is a 2.5 Factory Series Piggyback Bypass Shock built for serious off-road racing and high-performance desert running. Featuring a 16-inch stroke and a 4-tube bypass configuration — 2 compression bypass tubes and 2 rebound bypass tubes — this shock delivers precise, zone-specific damping control across the full range of suspension travel.

Key Features:

• 2.5" bore body — Fox Factory Series large-bore construction for superior heat dissipation and oil volume
• 16-inch stroke — long-travel design suited for extreme off-road applications
• Bypass design with 2 compression + 2 rebound tubes — allows independent tuning of low-speed and high-speed damping zones for optimized performance over varied terrain
• Piggyback reservoir — external reservoir increases oil and nitrogen gas capacity, reducing fade during extended hard use
• Black anodized finish — corrosion-resistant hard anodize for durability in harsh environments
• Rebuildable and re-valveable design for race-level serviceability
• Manufactured in the USA to Fox Racing Shocks' strict quality standards

Fox 2.5 Factory Series bypass shocks are a staple of professional desert racing, delivering the damping sophistication demanded by competitive off-road racers. The bypass tube layout allows the shock to behave softly through small, high-frequency bumps and progressively firmer as travel increases — a characteristic that translates to both high-speed stability and excellent bump compliance.
