Product Details

The Prothane 4-1606 is a polyurethane shifter bushing kit specifically designed for the Dodge Neon SRT-4 with a manual transmission. Over time, the factory rubber shifter bushings wear down and degrade, causing vague, sloppy shifter feel and increasing the risk of missed shifts or premature gearbox wear. These Prothane bushings replace the OEM rubber units with durable polyurethane for a more precise, confident shift feel.

Key Features:

  • Polyurethane construction — significantly more durable and shape-retentive than factory rubber bushings
  • Available in red or black — choose the color that suits your build
  • Direct-fit replacement — retains all stock mounting hardware for straightforward installation
  • Improved shift precision — firms up shift linkage to reduce slop and improve gear engagement accuracy
  • Resistant to warping and physical wear — outlasts OEM rubber under street and performance driving conditions
  • Includes pre-lube — supplied lubricant helps prevent squeaking; proper greasing at install is recommended
  • Lifetime warranty — Prothane covers this product against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser's vehicle

The Prothane 4-1606 shifter bushing kit is an affordable, high-impact upgrade for any SRT-4 owner looking to restore or improve manual transmission shift quality. UPC: 636169173165.

Easy search and quick processing.

I ordered a new latch for my center console and it fit perfectly. I could have bought it locally but the local store didn't have it in stock. I figured if it had to be ordered I could order it sent to my house.
