Koni 8245 1251 Special Active Rear Shock Absorber Twin-Tube Low Pressure Gas - Red

The Koni 8245 1251 Special Active (Red) is a rear shock absorber engineered for the Porsche 911 (964) platform, including the Carrera 2, Carrera 4, Coupe, Targa, Convertible, and Turbo variants. Part of Koni's premium 8245 Series, this twin-tube, low-pressure gas shock delivers an outstanding balance of performance handling and everyday driving comfort.

At the heart of this shock is Koni's patented Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology — a passive, electronically-free system that automatically adapts damping force in real time to match road conditions and driving style. It firms up during high-speed cornering and body roll, then softens over bumps, expansion joints, and rough pavement for a composed, comfortable ride.

Key Features:

• Twin-tube, low-pressure gas construction for consistent, fade-resistant damping
• Patented Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology — no electronics required
• Automatically adjusts to road surface and driving style
• Plug-and-play installation — direct OEM replacement fit
• Improves road holding, cornering stability, and overall safety
• Technology proven on over 1.5 million factory-equipped vehicles
• Iconic red finish — Koni's signature Special Active color coding

Koni has been manufacturing automotive shock absorbers since 1932 and is recognized as a world leader in performance damping technology, with a motorsport legacy that includes over 250 racing victories. The Special Active series brings that engineering expertise to the street in a straightforward, no-compromise package.
