The Michelin TRX-B is a classic tire designed for vintage automobiles, using modern materials and manufactured to original specifications in small batches to preserve the vehicle's driving character and provide period-correct aesthetics. This ultra high performance summer tire was designed for vehicles of the 1970s, with a design proven in Formula 1 and the World Rally Championship while providing precise handling for sporty vehicles.

Revolutionary TRX Technology:

The invention of the TRX tires by Michelin in 1975 permitted a more even distribution of tension in the whole tire casing, which is where the name TR standing for "Tension Repartie" ("distributed tension") comes from. Michelin introduced the world's first tire and roadwheel system, where the two were designed together. TRX tires require the use of wheels that were specially designed for them; standard tires do not fit TRX wheels and vice versa.

Racing Heritage:

The Michelin TRX won renown in Formula 1 racing with Renault and Prost and in the world rally championship on the Audi Quattro, 205 Turbo 16 and R5 Turbo. The TRX-B brings vintage driving performance to warm, dry and wet conditions.

Important Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20°F or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40°F for at least 24 hours before being flexed. Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in ultra high performance summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Not suitable for use below 45°F. Michelin uses metric sizes for TRX roadwheels instead of standard imperial wheel sizes.
