Product Details

The Rancho RS55066 RS5000X is a rear suspension shock absorber built to improve on- and off-road handling. It uses Rancho's Cross Tuned technology, which pairs an exclusive rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase.

Key Features:

  • Twin-tube, gas-pressurized design to help limit air-to-oil mixing, foaming and shock fade
  • Gas pressure of 150 PSI
  • Progressive engagement valving to help reduce initial impacts at low speeds
  • Compression control valve to help maintain control of shock motion
  • All-weather fluid, rated for internal temperatures from -40 to 248°F
  • Body diameter of about 2.25 in.
  • Non-adjustable damping
  • Includes a dust shield
  • Sold as one shock absorber

Rancho recommends installing most of its shocks rod up and body down. That includes RS5000X shocks with a light gas charge.
