ACL Bearings 5M1837-.25 Main Bearing Set 0.25mm Undersize

The ACL Bearings 5M1837-.25 is a high-performance main bearing set designed for precision engine rebuilds requiring 0.25mm (.010") undersize bearings to accommodate reground crankshafts. ACL Race Series performance engine bearings are manufactured to exacting tolerances with micron tolerance machining supported by precision measurement systems delivering consistent accuracy to key characteristics like wall thickness and crush.

Key Features:

• Multi-layered tri-metal copper alloy construction that blends characteristics to provide high strength and excellent seizure resistance
• 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• No flash plating applied to further improve bearing retention and maximize heat transfer
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high rpm and to assist in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films
• Tight consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
• Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges where required to accommodate large fillet radius on performance crankshafts

ACL is a company that specializes in manufacturing and distributing high-quality engine bearings and has been in business for more than 70 years based in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. These bearings are engineered to withstand the demands of high-performance and racing applications while maintaining the reliability needed for street use.
