The Wiseco K477B6 is a Quick 16 Pro Series forged piston set engineered for serious drag racing applications. Built from 2618 high-temperature aluminum alloy with a next-generation strutted forging design, these pistons deliver exceptional strength while keeping rotating weight in check. Designed with direct input from leading engine builders and NHRA Pro Stock technology, the Quick 16 Series is purpose-built for big-valve, high-cubic-inch Sportsman and bracket racing engines. This set fits a 9.750-inch deck height and includes 8 pistons with S462 wrist pins included. Rings are sold separately; recommended ring set is W77008-4560-5.

Quick 16 Series Features:

• Vertical gas ports channel combustion pressure directly behind the top ring for maximum ring seal on the power stroke while minimizing friction on intake, exhaust, and compression strokes
• 15 Pro Stock-style pressure seal grooves machined into the ring land for superior ring retention and sealing
• Anti-detonation grooves machined into the piston crown for resistance to detonation and pre-ignition under high-compression racing conditions
• Reinforced deck construction to withstand the extreme cylinder pressures of race-level power outputs
• Profiled dome designed for use with nitrous oxide and naturally aspirated applications
• Strutted forging in 2618 alloy prevents the cracking commonly associated with slab or full-round forgings under severe-duty conditions
• Valve pocket design engineered to maximize flow around the valve head, accommodating oversized valves and high-lift camshafts
• Precision-machined ring grooves with calculated groove root diameters and axial widths ensure excellent surface finish, maximum ring seal, and minimized blow-by and oil consumption
• Tool-steel wrist pins (S462) with 0.180-inch wall thickness included to limit flex and maximize power transfer
• Forged, engineered, and machined in the USA at Wiseco's ISO-certified facility

ArmorGlide Skirt Coating:

Every K477B6 piston features Wiseco's ArmorGlide anti-friction skirt coating, developed and validated through Wiseco's in-house dyno program. ArmorGlide reduces operating friction and allows the piston to be fitted tighter within the bore than an uncoated piston, improving ring seal and reducing noise from piston rock. The result is lower friction losses, better cylinder wall protection, and improved long-term wear resistance.
