Product Details

The Cometic C4142-045 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for classic Ford Kent engines and their high-performance derivatives. Featuring an 86mm bore diameter and .045" compressed thickness, this precision gasket provides superior sealing performance for both street and racing applications.

Compatible Applications:

  • Ford Pre-Crossflow OHV Kent engines
  • Ford Crossflow OHV Kent engines
  • Cosworth BD Series engines
  • Lotus Twin Cam engines

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum durability and reliability
  • 86mm bore diameter for precise fitment
  • .045" compressed thickness for optimal compression ratio tuning
  • Superior heat resistance and dimensional stability
  • Eliminates the need for additional sealants
  • Ideal for high-performance and racing applications

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a proprietary coating that allows the gasket to conform to surface imperfections while maintaining exceptional torque retention. This design provides a more forgiving seal that accommodates minor block and head surface irregularities, making it the preferred choice for engine builders and enthusiasts working with vintage Ford powerplants.
