ACL Bearings 5M1415P-40 Crankshaft Main Bearing Set 0.040" Undersize

The ACL Bearings 5M1415P-40 main bearing set delivers race-proven durability and precision engineering for demanding performance applications. Manufactured in Tasmania, Australia for over 70 years, ACL has been a major OEM supplier to the automotive industry while providing an extensive replacement product range for the global aftermarket.

Advanced Bearing Technology:

• Trimetal construction combining hardened steel, copper and nickel enhances strength and fatigue resistance
• Hardened steel backing improves support for the bearing lining and enhances retention within the housing
• Improved eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high-speed operation and assist in hydrodynamic oil film formation
• No flash plating on the rear of bearings improves heat transfer and maximizes grip between bearing and housing
• Enlarged ID chamfers accommodate large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

ACL Race Series performance engine bearings are recognized as a premier brand throughout the motorsports world, with Race Series bearings serving as standard components in race engines that have set records and won championships from sport compact drift racing to NASCAR, IHRA and NHRA competitions. The -40 designation indicates a specific bearing size for precise oil clearance control.

Note: Proper measurement of bearing clearances by a qualified professional is critical for engine longevity and performance. This complete main bearing set includes all shells required for one engine.
