The Cometic C5842-030 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for Mazda LF/L3 MZR and Ford Duratec 20/23 engines without variable valve timing. This precision gasket features a 92mm bore diameter and .030" compressed thickness, providing enhanced sealing capabilities for both stock and modified applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior durability and heat resistance
• 92mm bore diameter designed specifically for Mazda MZR and Ford Duratec engines
• .030" (0.76mm) compressed thickness for optimized sealing
• Compatible with LF/L3 MZR engines and Duratec 20/23 powerplants
• Designed for non-variable valve timing applications
• Eliminates leak paths with advanced embossment technology

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, allowing them to withstand extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures while maintaining the micro-seal necessary between the head and block. This gasket is ideal for both performance rebuilds and factory replacement applications where reliability is critical.
