ACL Bearings 6B2679-020 Performance Connecting Rod Bearing Set .020 Oversize

The ACL Bearings 6B2679-020 is a high-performance connecting rod bearing set designed for engine rebuilds and performance applications requiring .020 inch oversized bearings. ACL bearings feature tri-metal copper-lead construction suitable for performance and everyday engines, providing superior durability and load-carrying capacity compared to standard bearings.

Key Features:

• High strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to improve support of the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing
• Elimination of flash plating on bearing backs to improve heat transfer and maximize grip between bearings and housing
• Tight consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
• .020 inch oversize for use with machined crankshafts

Improvements of material, dynamic thickness, heat conduction, oil grooves and oil distribution make ACL one of the leading bearing manufacturers. This bearing set is ideal for engine rebuilds where the crankshaft has been reground or requires oversized bearings to achieve proper clearances.
