Cometic C5399-030 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket 4.030" Bore .030" Chevy Small Block V8

The Cometic C5399-030 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines with aftermarket cylinder heads. This gasket features a 4.030-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .030 inches, making it ideal for performance builds requiring precise compression control.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under high cylinder pressures
• 4.030-inch bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored small block Chevy engines
• .030-inch compressed thickness allows for fine-tuning compression ratios
• Undersized water ports designed specifically for aftermarket cylinder heads, allowing custom port matching and coolant flow optimization
• Advanced MLS technology eliminates the need for retorquing and resists gasket failure from thermal cycling
• Embossed stainless steel layers with synthetic elastomer coating ensure reliable combustion sealing

Cometic MLS gaskets are the preferred choice for serious engine builders working with forced induction, nitrous oxide, or naturally aspirated high-performance applications. The undersized water ports give you the flexibility to match them precisely to your specific aftermarket heads for optimal cooling performance.
