ARP 134-5605 Main Stud Kit for Small Block Chevy Dart SHP Block

The ARP 134-5605 Main Stud Kit is specifically engineered for Small Block Chevy engines equipped with Dart SHP (Short Deck High Performance) blocks. This precision-manufactured stud kit provides superior clamping force and enhanced main cap stability compared to factory bolts, making it essential for high-performance and racing applications where extreme cylinder pressures and crankshaft loads are present.

Key Features:

• Designed specifically for Dart SHP Small Block Chevy blocks
• Manufactured from ARP's premium 8740 chromoly steel material
• 200,000 PSI tensile strength for maximum clamping force
• Parallel ground washer seats ensure even load distribution
• Black oxide finish for corrosion resistance
• Includes premium-quality nuts and hardened parallel-ground washers
• ARP Ultra-Torque assembly lubricant included

ARP main studs thread into the engine block, allowing the main caps to be secured with precision nuts rather than bolts. This design eliminates the torsional load that occurs when torquing conventional bolts, providing more accurate and consistent clamping force. The result is improved main bearing life, reduced fretting, and a more stable crankshaft environment capable of handling increased horsepower and RPM.
