Product Details

The Metra IHT-HDMEXTP is an active in-line powered HDMI cable extender and Dynamic Signal Equalizer designed to push your HDMI signal over longer cable runs without sacrificing picture quality. Ideal for custom AV installations where standard passive cables fall short, this compact inline extender actively boosts and conditions the signal to maintain full 1080p and 3D resolution across extended distances.

Key Features:

  • Active HDMI Cable Extender — Boosts signal strength for reliable transmission over longer HDMI cable lengths
  • Dynamic Signal Equalizer — Provides up to 40dB of insertion loss correction at 825 MHz
  • 1080p/3D Support — Maintains full high-definition and 3D resolution over extended runs
  • HDCP Compliant — Fully compatible with HDCP-protected content
  • Includes 5V DC UL-Listed Power Supply — Powers the extender reliably and safely
  • Compact, Concealable Design — Low-profile form factor designed for easy concealment in walls, cabinets, or behind displays

The IHT-HDMEXTP is part of Metra's Icarus (IHT) line of AV accessories, engineered for professional installers and home theater integrators who need dependable signal integrity in demanding HDMI runs. HDCP compliance ensures seamless compatibility with Blu-ray players, cable boxes, streaming devices, and other protected-content sources.
